Maya von Delava is a precious, huggable 14-month-old German Shepherd possibly mixed with husky.  And might we say, what a great dog she is!  Sitting next to you doing absolutely nothing means absolutely everything to Maya.  She loves nothing more than to lie in her foster parents' office all day while they work.  She would be the perfect companion dog for someone who is looking to take their dog to work with them.  Maya is a total lap dog who enjoys having her belly rubbed non-stop.  She would absolutely LOVE to be adopted by a professional masseuse but she'll take an amateur if necessary.  To her, it's one lap size fits all!  Maya adapts quickly to new things and is a bright girl who will learn quickly.  She's already getting the hang of her basic obedience commands.  She sleeps throughout the night with her foster mom and dad and is already housebroken.  She's also good with the other dogs in the home and is learning to play well with them. Maya is a very easy dog to foster. She is very easy going and wants nothing more than to be by your side. Her tail is wagging constantly. Her favorite hobby is to sit at the back fence and look for squirrels and birds. She gets excited to see them but does not bark. Although she is a very mellow dog, she makes me feel very safe when I am with her. She barks at the front door when UPS or Fedex arrives. There is something about her where I know that she will always protect me if needed.
